+Named from the Persian zargun, meaning “the color gold,” zircon has been prized since the Middle Ages for its rainbow sparkle and vivid shades. Its high luster and flashes of fire historically caused confusion among gem traders and miners who mistook it for diamond. Of all its many hues, blue is the most sought after. Zircons are long believed to encourage restful sleep and mental clarity, zircon carries both beauty and ancient lore.
